Your complete
voting guide
01
Find your EPIC number
Your voter ID card carries a 10-character code called EPIC (Elector Photo Identity Card number) — usually printed on the top-right above your photo, looks like ABC1234567. If you only have the e-EPIC PDF, it's at the top there too.
02
Check your voter details
Visit electoralsearch.eci.gov.in → switch to "Search by EPIC" → select Tamil Nadu → enter your EPIC number and the captcha. You'll see your polling station, booth number, ward, and constituency — everything you need for 23 April.
03
Carry Photo ID
EPIC, e-EPIC (digital), Aadhaar, Passport, Driving Licence, PAN, bank passbook with photo, or any govt photo ID.
04
Cast Your Vote
Show ID → ink on left forefinger → enter booth alone → press EVM button → verify VVPAT slip (7 sec) → exit. No phones inside.
